According to operational data of the Odessa port administration, 2 175 thousand tons of freights were transshipped on moorings of the Odessa port in February that was 1.5% more than a similar indicator of February, 2016. Despite short month and an ice campaign that was cancelled only on 22 February the tendency of growth of dry freights transfer amounts remained. This indicator was at the level of 1922.1 thousand tons last month (+31.5 thousand tons or 1.7% by the similar month in 2016). Including the nomenclature of dry freights: grain – 709.8 thousand tons (-9.1%), metal – 628.2 thousand tons (+18.8%), containers – 565.8 thousand tons (+ 0.1 percent) or 46 711 TEU (+13.6%).
At the same time, the positive tendency of liquid cargo transfer was noted in February. The handling of these freights in figures remained at the level of last year and was 252.9 thousand tons (+0.3% by February of last year).
