A new mooring is under construction in Yuzhny

For the first time in eight years, the construction of a new mooring No. 25 has begun in port Yuzhny. New port moorings were built in 2009, last time it was on a TIS container terminal.

The length of the new mooring No. 25 will be 385 meters with the depth of 16 meters. As declared in the company “M.V.Cargo” which is engaged in the construction of the object the mooring will provide Cargill grain terminal work.

“”M. V. A cargo” has already performed dredging works on creation of a ditch for a hydrotechnic construction of the mooring (620 thousand cubic meters) for providing of such depth. For completion of the works, it is necessary to take out 100 thousand more cubes”, reported in “M.V.Cargo”.

Postpanamax vessels could be loaded at the mooring.

A 160-ton Liebherr 1160 crane works on a “Goliath 1” pantone equipped with a vibro-drive and a hydro hammer. The piles are located on other, auxiliary cargo “Neptune 1” pantone. The watercrafts placement in the working zone provides by a Westgarth tow.

The construction of the mooring is carried out by means of the port and it should be complete in a year. The new terminal will provide at least 600 million UAH to the government annually – the harbor fees, the VAT and different tax contributions to budgets of all levels. During the construction and further operation of the terminal about 500 workplaces will be created.

The terminal should begin its work in spring 2018.

It is necessary to carry out dredging works in the mooring water areas that the terminal starts working in time, the Administration of Ukrainian seaports is responsible for this part.
