KEEP CALM and GO BOWLING!
On February 1, the Maritime Premier Bowling League Competition held a regular bowling tournament, organized by The Maritime Telegraph, Alpha Navigation and Argentum Travel with the support and sponsorship of Pivdenny Bank, the “Admiral” Training Center and the Zdorovya Medical Center.
Two rivals met in the tournament: Enesel and Seaspan.
During the competition, the teams were neck-and-neck. No one could foresee the winner, both teams stood their ground. However, the best striker – Oleksii Shyrokov from a Seaspan team, gained 145 points and, thus, carried his team to a victory! They scored 2484 points, although the difference was very small – just 215 points.
“Everything was great! It is not just sport but also a team building for crew managers and seafarers, – Sergiy Ievmenov (C/O, Enesel) stated. – I met my colleagues and friends. Last time I went bowling about five years ago, but nevertheless my hands remember how to throw the ball! I really enjoyed today’s game! I will definitely come here with my family again!”
Among the winners there are: Volodymyr Grachov, Oleksii Shyrokov, Mykola Shyrokov, Oleksiy Tarasov, Viktor Ivanov, Igor Yasynov, Sergii Iasynov, Oleksiy Lyubimov, Andrii Mazhar, Oleksandr Seleznyov, Illya Kudinov, Vitaliy Kryzhny.
“This game is very interesting and meaningful for us, – two brothers Igor (C/E, Seaspan) and Sergii Yasynov (C/E, Seaspan) said. – We both are already looking forward for the next game! There are more reasons to perfect yourself not only at sea, but also in bowling!”
The Enesel team consisted of Sergiy Shargorodsky, Andrii Tyshchuk, Kostyantyn Oliinyk, Sergiy Balabash, Valentyn Mykhailovskyi, Oleksandr Oliynyk, Danylo Kokoshenko, Sergiy Yevmenov, Ihor Ivanov, Vladyslav Deviatka, Igor Piaskovskyi, Oleg Kronshtadtov.
“The event was held at the highest level! It would be a great pleasure for me to be invited again! – Danylo Kokoshenko (Junior Engineer, Enesel) commented. – I consider Alpha Navigation one of the best Ukrainian crew agencies. They hold the top level of employment and, as I was convinced today, carry out sport events for seamen”.
The seafarers and all in attendance were able to chat with sponsors and ask them a few questions.

Today’s game was excellent, and Pivdenny Bank will take part in the next games!”
“The more a seafarer is engaged in sport activities – the better his pre-employment medical examination results are! – Liudmyla Kuchmil (Head and Chief Doctor, Zdorovya Medical Center) claimed. – We stand for a healthy lifestyle, which is vital not only for seamen, but for everyone!”

All participants of the tournament got a lot of positive emotions; they were able to spend time with their colleagues, to communicate in an informal setting.
“I am very proud of being a part of such events. It’s always nice to see when dozens of unfamiliar people gather in one team and play like one well-functioning mechanism. Organization of such competitions always encourages and inspires. I am sure that our tournament will continue just like this,” Vadim Osovskyy (Head of MICE department, Argentum Travel) resumed.
