Product tanker KAPITAN PONIKAROVSKIY (flag – Russia [RU]) had a leak oil at Saint-Petersburg Sea Port. It happened on November 14. It is known oil spill polluted 5 basins in port. On November 21 owner company claimed the tanker didn’t carry out any cargo operations.
The vessel was detained after spill was detected in harbor, and released after found not guilty. Maritime Port Authority confirmed owner statement.
