Ukrainian seaports set a new container handling record

Despite the ongoing war, shelling, and global logistics challenges, Ukrainian seaports continue to demonstrate resilience and steady growth.

According to the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine (AIFFU), during the first eight months of 2025 (January–August), Ukrainian seaports handled 134,191 TEU – a figure that already exceeds the total annual result of 2024 by 3.3% and marks the highest volume since the start of the full-scale invasion.

The cargo structure includes 66,892 TEU of exports, 63,042 TEU of imports, and 4,257 TEU of transit cargo.

As noted by AIFFU, these results send a strong signal to the business community that Ukrainian ports remain reliable and capable of handling export and import cargoes even under crisis conditions.
