Bulk carrier MARIA G.O. (flag – Marshall Is [MH]) laden with coal ran aground on East Banks south of Facing Island, Gladstone, Australia. It happened on 26 November.
The ship was refloated with the help of some 8 tugs, and brought to anchor for inspection on Gladstone outer anchorage. According to track, the ship went out of control, because of some mechanical failure.
