​ Cargo ship collided with pier at Barranquilla

General cargo ship MURUETA (flag – Panama [PA]) collided with pier while berthing at Sociedad Palermo, Barranquilla, Colombia. It happened on 16 January. Both ship and pier sustained damages, ship’s portside hull was damaged, portside anchor torn off. The vessel arrived at Barranquilla from Netherland Antilles with cargo of salt.
